It's those Weir View girls again!
Having a chat over the front wall were Una Sheridan, Annie Howlett, Pauline Condron and Kathleen McCormack.
I don't know of any other community which have such a photographic record as the people who lived here. They could probably mount their own exhibition – there's a thought for future community festivals.
Recently, Eamonn Murray was in contact with me, and it was interesting to hear him go along the 20 houses one by one, naming the families who lived in Weir View when he was a child. He had most of them, but a few are still unaccounted for, so if anybody can put that list together, I'd love to hear from you. Even if you can name some of them, they may well be the ones missing – it's like a jigsaw with a couple of missing pieces at the moment!
