This is the card which William (Billie) Lanigan sent from the trenches of World War I to his mother in 18 Weir View.
Billie was one of the many young men from Lucan who headed off to war in that era. Unfortunately, he didn’t return.
I have recently received copies of letters and documents in relation to Billie’s time in the army, and hope to publish them in the New Year.
