Goddaughters should be
Beautiful inside and out
Smile when you say Hello
Laugh at your jokes, funny or not
Appreciate your dress sense, even if it’s gaudy
Listen attentively to your stories, nodding at the right time
Not be embarrassed when you fall over your own feet
But extend their hand to help you up and brush you down
But most of all always be glad to see their Godmother
I’m so glad that I was chosen as yours.
