Surveying the Liffey from the upper deck of the 25
As it slowly etched its way
Along the quays towards Bachelors Walk
Noting the tidal waters
Rushing in from Dublin bay
Creating ripples and bubbles on the water surface
Mindful of Riverdancers as they trip lightly across the stage
Sun beams lighting the Liffey’s quickened flow
Testimony that even the murkiest of waters
Can twinkle.
