Deirdre sells Bloomers
In shades of blue and pink
They come in several sizes
And never made her blink.
They’re good in all weathers
They keep the draughts at bay
And when it’s time for new ones
The others alternate to:
Shammies for the windows
Dusters for the shelves
Clothes to mop those spills up
And rags for those ringlets.
(This poem is dedicated to Deirdre, a Sales Assistant in Boyers).
