When you’re the leader of an army and a chef to a kitchen,
The king of the jungle or the one
who keeps the rhythm.
Who takes care of you when you’re the one who has to fight.
The one who has to play
The villain to keep the peace in sight.
Who takes care of you when you’re the structure to the sentence,
The glue that stops the cracks,
The one who pays the penance.
The one who holds the pressure and keeps it all inside,
The one who takes the shots
And takes it in their stride.
Who takes care of you, when you’re the one they lean on,
You’re the one they need,
You’re the one they steal from.
So ask yourself the question, who takes care of you,
when all the burdens,
All the worries split your heart in two.
